Practical assignments
Each lesson ends with a brief: a set number of images, a written reflection and your technical information. You shoot it, you submit it.
Assessment
Submissions are marked against a rubric with a default pass threshold of 70%. Your instructor has final authority on pass or resubmit.
Shoot Lab
Group practical sessions with real subjects and locations — the place where the lessons stop being theory.
Portfolio development
Approved assignment work is selected and sequenced into a portfolio you can actually show clients.
Mentorship
One-on-one guidance for technical help, portfolio review, camera choices and creative direction.

+ Do I need a professional camera?
No. Any camera with manual controls works. We will help you get the most out of what you own before you spend money.
+ Do I need prior experience?
None. Level 1 is built for complete beginners as well as self-taught photographers filling gaps.
+ How long does it take?
The programme is progressive rather than timed — you move forward as each lesson is passed. Most learners work through it steadily over a few months.
+ What happens if I don't pass an assignment?
You receive written feedback and resubmit. Resubmission is a normal part of the process, not a penalty.
+ Is it online or in person?
Lessons and submissions are online. Shoot Lab and workshops add in-person practice.
+ Is MOSA accredited?
MOSA is an independent academy issuing its own certificate of completion. We make no claims of external accreditation.
